AHMEDABAD 21 Sept: The above Mentioned Prestigious National Tournament has been organised by Gujarat State Chess Association under the aegis of All India Chess Federation with the support of Sports Authority of Gujarat.
Inauguration ceremony was held on 20.9.2023 at 11:30 a.m. where Mr. A. K. Raizada (Secretary, UP Chess Sports Association), Mr. Sanjeev Thakur (Secretary, Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association) specially remained present to motitive the players.
Also Secretary of Karnavati Club Mr. Jayesh Modi, Mr. Viral Patel (Director, Karnavati Club) alongwith Mr. Bhavesh Patel (Vice President, Gujarat State Chess Association) remained Present to grace the Ocassion. Mr. A. K. Raizada along with Mr. Jayesh
Modi played first move against top seeded player of the tournament and opened up this prestigious national tournament.
First round of the Tournament Started at 12:30 pm on 20.9.2023. Total 358 players from different states of India are Participating in this Prestigious National Tournament.
Top rated players from Gujarat Dhyey Agarwal, Kartavya Anadkat, Ashita Jain, Siya Sagar and Hanya Shah are also participating in this prestigious tournament.
Total 11 number of rounds will be played under Swiss System in this tournament.
Selected Players from different States of India are getting free boarding and lodging facilities. Cash prize of Rs.10 lakh will be distributed to top 40 players (20 in boys and 20 in girls) alongwith trophies. This tournament will be concluded on 28.9.2023.
