JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma today convened a meeting to review the progress on demarcation of JDA land in Jammu and Samba districts.
The meeting was attended by VC JDA, Babila Rakwal; ADC Jammu, Ghansham Singh; ACR Samba, Jitender Mishra; DFO Jammu, besides Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars of district Jammu and other concerned officers.
The concerned officers apprised the Div Com about the progress achieved so far and the encroached land retrieved in the twin districts.
The Divisional Commissioner directed district administration Jammu and Samba to expedite the demarcation of JDA, government land in their area jurisdictions. He also asked them to fence the already demarcated land to prevent encroachment attempts in future.
The Div Com further asked concerned to formulate an activity calendar for anti encroachment drives and at the same time expedite the process of demarcation.
