COVID-19: Number of infected in 17699 in Pakistan, 408 people killed so far.

Pakistan: On Friday, 882 new cases of corona virus were reported in Pakistan and 23 people died. In this way, the number of infected in the neighboring country increased to 17699. At the same time, 408 people have died due to corona virus in Pakistan so far. The Ministry of Health of Pakistan has given this information.

According to data released by the ministry, 6340 cases have been reported in Punjab, 6675 in Sindh, 2799 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1136 in Balochistan, 343 in Islamabad, 340 in Gilgit Baltistan and 66 cases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Many high-profile people have also come under the grip of Corona virus in Pakistan. It includes Imran Ismail, the governor of Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, as well as Asad Qaiser, speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, a very close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Ministry of Health said that 1,82,131 tests had been conducted so far, including 7,971 tests conducted on 30 April. According to the ministry, 3706 patients are admitted in 717 Kovid-19 hospitals across the country. Apart from this, other patients have isolated themselves in homes.

Health consultant Zafar Mirza said the corona virus could reach its peak in the country by late May or mid-June. “But it can also be different because we are not sure and are closely monitoring the situation,” he said.

The Health Ministry said that health workers have also been hit due to this dangerous virus. On Friday, 191 health workers were found to be Kovid-19 positive. Earlier data shared on 23 April showed that 253 health workers were infected in the country, while the new data showed that the number increased by 75 percent to 444.

In Pakistan, 216 doctors, 67 nurses and 161 other health workers are among the health workers who are affected by the corona virus. However, 94 of these patients have defeated the virus and have recovered and returned home after treatment.
