COVID-19: India records highest single-day jump; check state-wise tally, deaths, list of testing facilities.

State Wise COVID-19 Cases in India: Maharashtra’s tally of COVID-19 positive cases has climbed to 1,567. Coronavirus has killed a  total of 583 people in Maharashtra. As many as 2,465 patients have been cured or discharged in the state

With 2,685 new confirmed cases and 195 deaths, India, on Tuesday, registered the highest single-day jump in positive cases for coronavirus as well as fatalities in the last 24-hour.

The total number of coronavirus cases has now surged to 46,433. According to the latest update by the health ministry, 1,568 people have succumbed to coronavirus. And, 12,727 patients have been cured and discharged, or have migrated, as of Tuesday.

Maharashtra has recorded the highest single-day spike in coronavirus cases at 1,567 in the past 24 hours, followed by Tamil Nadu at 527.

Maharashtra’s tally of COVID-19 positive cases has climbed to 1,567. Coronavirus has killed a  total of 583 people in Maharashtra. As many as 2,465 patients have been cured or discharged in the state.

Gujarat has registered second-highest confirmed coronavirus cases in the country. Gujarat has reported 376 new cases for coronavirus since yesterday morning. The tally of positive patients has climbed to 5,804 in the state. Gujarat has reported 313 death and 1,195 patients have recovered so far.

The national capital Delhi has third-highest COVID-19 cases at 4,898. Delhi reported 349 new cases in the last 24-hour. The national capital reported 64 deaths, but none in the last 24-hour.

In Rajasthan, 175 new cases of coronavirus surfaced since yesterday morning. The fatalities in Rajasthan has climbed to 77 so far. Madhya Pradesh registered 96 new confirmed cases for COVID-19 in the last 24-hour. The state has now a total of 2,942 positive cases. In MP, coronavirus has taken the lives of 165 people. As many as 798 people have been cured of the disease.

In Andhra Pradesh, the case tally has climbed to 1,650 after state reported 67 new cases in the past 24-hour.  The fatalities count has surged to 36, whereas 524 patients have been cured in the southern state.

Punjab has reported 131 new patients of coronavirus, taking the total number of cases to 1,233. 121 patients have been cured of coronavirus in the state. Currently, the state’s fatalities stand at  23.

West Bengal’s coronavirus cases have spiked to 296 in the last 24-hour. The state has recorded the highest mortality rate at 10.5 per cent. Bengals’ total tally of COVID-19 patients has jumped 1,259. The death toll has risen to 133.

The COVID-9 patients’ tally in Uttar Pradesh has risen to 121 in the last 24-hour. The northern state has reported seven new deaths. In total, UP has  2,766 coronavirus patients, out of which 802 have recovered. The state has reported 50 new deaths so far

The number of cases has risen to 651 in Karnataka, 500 in Kerala, and 528 in Bihar.

With no new cases reported in Goa, Tripura, and Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh, these four states have become coronavirus-free.

As many as 517 people have been infected in Haryana, 41 in Himachal Pradesh and 58 in Chhattisgarh.

Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Assam have not reported any new COVID-19 case in the last 24-hours. Uttarakhand’s cases tally stands at 60, Jharkhand’s 115, and Assam’s 43.

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has 726 cases, Chandigarh has 102 cases, while there are 33 COVID-19 patients in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. 41 coronavirus cases have been reported in Ladakh; 12 in Meghalaya, and 8 in Puducherry.
