Army Personnel, Civilian Jointly Donate Blood for COVID-19 Patients at Bandipora

SRINAGAR: Fully adhering to strict COVID-19 protocol, the Army personnel and civilians jointly donated their blood at a camp held at Bandipora in north Kashmir district on Monday, a defence ministry spokesman said.

He said under the banner of ” Donate Blood and Save Lives” , a blood donation camp was today held at District Hospital Bandipora in north Kashmir, where the ” Awaam and Indian Army personnel” came together to donate their blood.

The blood was for coronavirus infected patients, he said similar camps are being organized at other places. This, he said, will help the patients besides further strengthen the bounds of the Army and civilians in the valley.

He said large number of civilians and Army personnel donated their blood.

However, he said, during the blood donation strict COVID-19 protocol was maintained and everyone was wearing masks and keeping social distancing.

Meanwhile, the Army also organized a drawing competition for children in the border area of Tangdhar, where a veterinary camp was also held for the benefit of bakerwals and other population who brought their livestock at the camp.
