NEW DELHI: India reported 2,71,202 new Covid-19 cases and 314 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the data by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Sunday. A total of 7,743 Omicron cases have been detected so far, which is an increase of 28.17 per cent since Saturday.
At least 1,38,331 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 3,50,85,721. The recovery rate now stands at 94.51 per cent.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 15,50,377.
The daily positivity rate is at 16.28 per cent while the weekly positivity rate stands at 13.69 per cent.
At least 16,65,404 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
