KISHTWAR: The holy mace of the Machail Mata reached Kishtwar town Thursday evening for the annual special prayers at the shrine.
Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara and Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Harmeet Singh Mehta welcomed the Machail Mata Yatra in the town.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Tehsildar, Pramood Kumar besides other officials were also present on the occasion.
The pilgrimage was conducted with the strict observance of COVID 19 protocols and avoiding unnecessary congregation.
Chhari Mubarak (Holy Mace of Machail Mata ), being carried by a limited group of management committee members , will arrive at the holy Machail Mata Mandir on August 22 , 2020 and after performing the annual prayer rituals in the shrine, the Charri will depart to Jammu on the August 24, informed the representatives of Sarva Shakti Sewak Sanstha
