POONCH: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review arrangements for the Independence Day- 2020 celebrations.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at sports stadium Poonch where the Chief Guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the march past to be presented by contingents.
Reviewing the security arrangements, the DC asked for sensitization of security in and around the main venue. The concerned officer from Traffic department was directed to identify space for parking of vehicles near the venues.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted Power and water supply on the scheduled day. He also asked the Health department for adequate healthcare arrangements at the main venues with adequate staff, ambulance and medicare facilities. The municipal authorities were asked to sanitize the Sports Stadium on the Independence Day.
The DC instructed the concerned officers to celebrate the Independence Day with added zeal while maintaining all the SOPs guidelines.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Mohammad Rashid; SSP, Ramesh Angral; besides ACD, CEO Tourism, Functional Manager, CMO, CEO Municipality, Army Officers, Tehsildar Haveli, Executive Engineers, ARTO, DSWO, District Youth Welfare Sports Officer, besides other concerned officer and officials.
