Jammu: State President of Hindustan Shiv Sena Vikrant Kapoor has warned the government that don’t play with the sentiments of Hindus. He strongly objected to the initial Pooja for Shri Baba Amarnath Yatra on the occasion of Jyeshtha Purnima at the office of Shrine Board in Talab Tilo, Jammu. He said that this has deeply hurt the sentiments of Hindus and it is not acceptable to Shiv Sena at any cost. He also demanded to Start the Initial ritual from holy cave.
Shiv Sena president Vikrant Kapoor said this while addressing a press conference here today. He lashed out at the government and said that first of all, Initial ritual (Puja) of Shri Amarnath Yatra was performed at Shri Baba Amarnath ji’s holy cave. After that it was started from Chandanwadi and now it has been performed in Jammu under the cover of Corona virus. This is not acceptable to the Hindus at any cost.
Kapoor said that the government has its own helicopters and it could have performed the first puja with some people even from the holy cave but the government has not played with the sentiments of Hindus by doing so. He said that it is clear that the government’s intention in this regard is not clear.
It may be mentioned here thart that apart from the Chief Executive Officer of the Board, Vipul Pathak, other members of the Board also participated in the puja prayer performed Friday at the office of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board at Talab Tilo, Jammu. He said that the government is talking about both the routes of the yatra, Chandanbadi and Baltal being covered with snow, but if it wants, it can also do tha first puja with some people in the holy cave from Helicopter. He said that the first puja should be held in the holy cave of Baba Amarnath as per tradition. If this is not done, then Shiv Sena will be forced to launch a massive agitation against it and the government will be fully responsible for the situation arising from it.
Kapoor warned the government that they should desist from such decisions which hurts the sentiments of Hindus otherwise Hindus would be forced to take to the streets. Usually, this ritual is performed at Chandanwari before the beginning of Amarnath yatra but this is for the first in the history that this Amarnath ritual Pooja has performed in Jammu instead of Chandanwari.
