JAMMU: The four week long faculty induction programme (Gurudakshta)” which was organized by Human Resource development centre( HRDC) in collaborations with the Department of Urdu, University of Jammu concluded here today by organizing a valedictory function.
The valedictory function was organized in the Prof. Gain Chand Jain seminar hall of the department of Urdu, University of Jammu.
Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar and Dean Faculty of Law was the chief Guest on the occasion while Prof. Rahul Gupta , Director HRDC., Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed and Dr Farhat Shamim were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Arvind Jasrotia congratulated Human Resource development centre and department of urdu for organizing the 1st offline Faculty Induction programme .
These types of programme are very useful for the overall development of teachers and scholars. He said that the Resource Persons who delivered lecture during the four week are important in the sense that they were on various issues pertaining to society and teachers community.
These types of programmes should be organized in future also so that the polices of the Government regarding the Education be conveyed to the students and scholars through their teachers. Prof. Arvind Jastrotia also distributed certificates among the participants of the course.
Earlier in his welcome address Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik , HOD Urdu and course coordinator informed that various luminaries of different subjects delivered lecture on different themes during the four weeks which include Prof. Jigar Mohd, Dr Jeevan Jyoti, Prof. P.K. Srivastava, Prof. Balbir Singh, Prof. Anupamam Vohra, Prof. G.M. Bhar, Prof. Alka Sharma and others.
The lecture were quiet informative said Prof Shohab. He further said that 26 participants of various colleges of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the Faculty Induction Programme. The Assistant Professor were of subject like Urdu, Dogri, Punjabi, Environment Science, commence, History and economics.
The Assistant Professors were given a thorough knowledge of Environment, Political scenario of India, new Education policy , research Methodology, accounts, Service Rules, A.P.I. score and others burning issues of the society.
While speaking on the occasion Prof. Rahula Gupta , Director Human Resource development centre, informed that in future three Faculty induction Porgramme and several refresher course would be organized.
The HRDC has also arranged many Refresher course and orientation course for the teachers of various colleges through online mode. He thanked the department of Urdu for organizing faculty induction programme in a impressive manner.
