REASI: District Magistrate Reasi today ordered filing of an FIR against a woman, who misled administration by hiding travel history from Bangalore.
It has been recommended to register a case against the woman for trying to circumvent the screening and surveillance teams and went into hiding.
The case against the woman is recommended under section 188 IPC for deliberately hiding travel history thereby violating the COVID protocol /Guidelines of MHA and putting the lives of other people at risk, an official spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, the authorities have appealed the general public to cooperate with the administration in this unprecedented situation and voluntarily disclose their travel history and those known to them.
They reiterated that concealment of travel history or circumvention of screening would coerce the authorities to invoke relevant sections of IPC and stringent action shall be initiated as per law.
The district administration also put in quarantine those persons who came in contact with her.
