New Delhi May 31st: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that another western disturbance will bring more rain in North India during the next three days. A rain alert has also been issued for 11 districts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru. AIR correspondent reports that the Revenue department and the district administration has issued necessary instructions to the officials as the Met department has issued yellow alerts for Bengaluru and 10 other districts in Karnataka. Kodagu, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Shivamogga had suffered the greatest during the previous South West monsoon and hence learning from previous experience, the disaster management authorities have geared up to face the challenges due to copious rainfall. In Bengaluru too the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath visited areas prone to flooding. He has ordered the Control room to function round the clock and instructed officials to respond to the distress calls from citizens. After the South West Monsoon hits Kerala around June 4, South Interior Karnataka will receive heavy rainfall.
