Indian Army Organises Traffic rules awareness Campaign on Mughal Road Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: Indian Army in association with NHIDCL undertook an initiative of organising “Traffic Rules Awareness Campaign” on Mughal Road (NH-244) at Mughal Maidan, district Kishtwar (J&K).

The campaign was organised to educate and create awareness amongst locals about the importance of road safety.

There has been a substantial increase in vehicular traffic on NH 244 and due to lack of sufficient knowledge of traffic rules there has also been an exponential increase in number of road accidents. A campaign was thus launched to inculcate defensive driving behaviour and enhance traffic safety consciousness.

Army and NHIDCL officials also appealed to the public to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol and also stay away from using mobile phones while driving.

The campaign was highly appreciated by the population of nearby villages who requested to organise more such events in future.
