Patwari held taking graft

JAMMU: The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) on Saturday caught a Patwari red handed taking Rs 35,000 bribe in his office at village Jasore in R S Pura tehsil.

He has been identified as Ashok Kumar son of Chuni Lal, a resident of Ghou Manhasan.

The Patwari had demanded Rs 35,000 corruption from the complainant for giving ‘fard’.

As soon as he accepted the graft, the CBI teams nabbed him and recovered the corruption amount from his possession.

A case has been registered against the accused.
