POONCH: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Poonch, today held an awareness event to mark the observance of ‘World Population Day’.
The Programme was attended by Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Madan Lal; Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Javed Rana Hakla; Chairman TLSC Haveli, Som Lal; Advocate. Bhanu Partap; Advocate Tariq Hayat; Advocate Mehmood Hussain; Advocate, Abdul Majid Khan; Advocate, I.A.Bazmi; Advocate, Mohammad Ishaq Khan; Advocate, Mohammad Saleem Sheikh; Advocate, Naseer-ul-Islam; Advocate, Imtiaz Ahmed; Legal Aid Staff, and Para Legal Volunteers.
The Speakers dealt with the related issues at length and highlighted the problems being faced on account of population explosion, particularly in the health sector, social security, ecology and environment sector. They pointed out that the explosion of the population has put the tremendous pressure on the available resources and is resulting into the emergence of diverse problems.
Similar, programmes were also organised by TLSC Surankote and Mendhar.
The Programme at Surankote was presided over by Chairman TLSC Surankote Ashan Malik (Sub-Judge).
